Home Visiting Program is offered to prenatal and families with children 0-3 yrs old who reside in Colfax and Union counties. The program is a relationship based and tailored to suit the needs of each family. Participation is purely voluntary and there are no financial or any other requirements needed to be eligible for home visiting.
Community Based Process throughout Colfax County, providing education to the communities and retailers regarding state and federal laws pertaining to alcohol and tobacco sales to minors and the health risks these substances pose to the youth. Tobacco merchant education provided.
Colfax County Health Council meets bi-monthly and addresses community priority health issues as identified by the residents of Colfax County. The Health Council helped develop those community priorities and seeks to help reduce fragmentation of services, improve communication and maximize resources.

A family oriented group that is involved in many community charitable projects including projects at the schools and 4-H clubs. FCE club members are involved in donating food and help to Food Pantry projects and distributing food gift baskets to shut-ins. The FCE club sponsors a reading contest in Colfax County and is involved in a national art and essay contest for 4th graders. This group donates two books per month to mothers of newborn babies born at Miner’s Colfax Medical Center and they donate books to school libraries. The FCE club sponsors a $500.00 scholarship each year to a county high school graduate or an active 4-H participant. The FCE club will accept donations of yarn and cloth that they then make available to the Women’s Prison in Grants to be used for handicrafts.
The FCE Club of Raton meets on the first Thursday of each month, at the Raton Community Center on N. 3rd Street, at 10:00 am. FCE meeting agendas will include an educational or craft activity. New members are always welcomed.
